Mod podge glue, canvas, cotton fabric, staple gun, stencil from craft store (or free hand something simple like a bird.
1. Wrap the canvas with the fabric and staple it to the wooden frame in the back so it covers the edges. The thicker the canvas the better.
2. Trim off excess fabric
3. Paint the Mod Podge glue over the entire fabric so it makes a shiny coating and holds it in place. Let this dry.
4. Trace your stencil with a pencil or chalk.
5. Paint the inside or outside of the stencil (depending on how much of the pattern you want to see.) I have done both and prefer the pattern to be inside the stenciled shape.
TIP: Choose a paint color that can be found in the fabric choice for a clean look.
