First an introduction might be in order. Oilcloth is just fabric that has been clear coated to create a water proof, cleanable surface. It was created for lining drawers, table cloths and that sort of thing. Nothing against Vinyl, but this stuff really is so much more fun. It comes in all kinds of crazy patterns it has not lost its natural fabric texture.
Instead of just using a piece for a table cloth, this table has the oilcloth stapled to it for a permanent look. This is a good idea to cover an older table for crafting or outdoor use.
I am planning on re-covering my dining room chair seats in oil cloth so I am doing some online shoping today.
I found some cute patterns on etsy.com and amazon.com
