This is a great art project for a child’s room but I think it is graphic enough that you could use it as living room art as well. Would make a great gift if you could snap the picture you need without them suspecting anything :)
You can make a silhouette using a printed photograph. Just cut along the edges and then trace it onto black paper. Once you cut the shape out, glue it to a white or creme cardboard background. I like the victorian nod the oval frame gives in this example but it would look just as good in a black square frame with large matt.
You could even glue the black image right onto a small mirror. Or Modge Podge it to a white dinner platter. Go nuts!
